Psychometrist - Neuropsychology Group

Position Overview

This full-time Psychometrist role at Orlando Health Medical Group's Neuropsychology Department involves administering and scoring cognitive and psychological tests under the direction of clinical psychologists or neuropsychologists. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at 32 W. Gore St, Orlando, FL 32806. Candidates with bilingual Spanish abilities and behavioral health experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately score neuropsychological and psychological assessments.
• Record behavioral observations during testing sessions.
• Collect demographic data and input patient and test-related information into templates as applicable.
• Refrain from clinical interpretation, diagnosis, treatment, clinical interviewing, or discussing results with patients or families.
• Maintain punctual attendance and adhere to Orlando Health policies as well as federal, state, and local laws.
• Perform clerical tasks such as patient scheduling and managing office and testing supplies when needed.
• Prepare written summaries detailing patient test performance and behavioral observations, including incidental interactions.
• Participate in departmental and external training opportunities.
• Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, confidentiality, and security in compliance with standards.
• Follow Infection Control and Health & Safety protocols.
• Uphold organizational Core Standards within the department.
• Maintain a suitable testing environment including cleanliness, lighting, and temperature control.
• Communicate openly, respectfully, and compassionately with patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Use supplies and equipment responsibly and demonstrate knowledge appropriate to the job level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field is required.
• No licensure or certification is mandatory.
• At least six months of experience in clerical, office, business, or customer service environments is required.
