Overview
The Guest Service Officer is expected to deliver exceptional hospitality with a strong focus on customer care, excellent communication, organizational capabilities, and sound decision-making. Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times is essential. The role enhances the reputation of both the department and the company by taking ownership of various requests and seeking opportunities to add value to job responsibilities.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Hold at least one year of experience interacting with customers in hotels or related service industries.
- Have a minimum of one year handling cash, with a solid understanding of US currency and exchange rates.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, treating guests considerately and positively while actively listening to their concerns.
- Exhibit tactful communication with guests, department leaders, and shipboard staff in resolving issues and negotiating solutions.
- Operate common office devices, including telephones, computers, and copiers efficiently.
- Completion of high school or equivalent basic education is preferred.
Language Proficiency
Must be proficient in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written, to comprehend and interpret written instructions. This includes the capability to provide and receive verbal and written guidance and effectively communicate information and respond to queries from guests, supervisors, and colleagues.
