Role Overview
As a Guest Service Associate in Food and Beverage based in Gurugram, India, you will be a key element of our hospitality team, dedicated to delivering outstanding dining experiences through attentive and heartfelt service. You will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar teams to uphold exceptional service standards, fostering a welcoming and supportive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and seat guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay.
- Accurately present menus, take orders, and serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper table arrangements consistent with organizational standards.
- Attain and share detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to provide guests with informed recommendations.
- Work in harmony with kitchen and bar staff to ensure flawless service timing and quality.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve complaints empathetically and effectively.
- Strictly adhere to hygiene, grooming, and safety protocols to maintain a secure dining setting.
- Assist with billing, cash handling, and payment processes while ensuring accuracy.
- Support the setup and teardown of banquets and special dining events efficiently.
- Manage assigned service stations to optimize operational productivity and guest service.
- Promote a cooperative team spirit by aiding colleagues and sharing effective practices.
- Maintain composure and flexibility to handle peak service demand and evolving guest needs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or equivalent qualifications.
- Between no experience and two years in food and beverage roles within hotels, restaurants, or related sectors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging diverse clientele.
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and reliable work ethic.
- Competence in billing, cash handling, and operating basic POS systems.
- Physical capacity to stand and move throughout work shifts.
- Problem-solving skills with adaptability to dynamic work scenarios.
- Knowledgeable about food safety, hygiene, and service norms.
- Effective time management and prioritization abilities during busy periods.
- Conflict resolution skills to manage difficult situations politely and professionally.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with restaurant management or digital ordering systems, multilingual communication skills, and food safety or hospitality certifications.
