Role Overview
We are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to enhance and innovate our marketing efforts. While we have established strong brand recognition through thought leadership with noticeable reach via analysis, video content, newsletters, and website traffic, we currently lack detailed insight into who our audience truly is. This role focuses on transforming existing engagement into a robust sales pipeline by building the vital systems that identify and qualify leads for our sales team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and collaborating closely with the Marketing Manager for Content & Events, you will join a small and globally distributed team. This hands-on role emphasizes in-house execution, embracing AI tools to maximize efficiency, and selectively engaging external experts only when essential. You will have ownership over the growth strategy, co-developing and executing it alongside the Head of Marketing rather than simply following instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement Gridcog's growth marketing strategy with a focus on organic reach, paid channels, and conversion metrics, taking full responsibility for the related performance data.
- Lead efforts to grow our organic visibility by managing SEO and GEO strategies to ensure we rank highly for key searches related to energy project modelling.
- Experiment with cutting-edge growth marketing methods, including exploring opportunities to position Gridcog for prominence in AI-driven search results.
- Optimize our website’s user experience by refining navigation paths, landing pages, forms, and calls to action to maximize visitor-to-lead conversion and improve data capture on visitors.
- Leverage our leading content by repurposing thought leadership, videos, and analyses into lead-generating assets like gated content and paid campaigns.
- Develop and manage marketing technology tools to track engagement across website visits, newsletters, and content; make recommendations for tool acquisitions to enhance this tracking.
- Create and nurture automated lead campaigns that effectively warm prospects and deliver qualified leads to sales.
- Carefully evaluate paid advertising opportunities, start campaigns on small scales, monitor performance rigorously, scale what succeeds, and discontinue what does not.
- Run systematic growth experiments with prioritization, learning cycles, and quick iteration to avoid wasted effort.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to ensure timely follow-up and prevent warm leads from going cold.
- Bring fresh ideas including exploring untapped channels, new content formats, and innovative strategic approaches.

Candidate Profile
- Proven success growing organic traffic and generating inbound leads in business-to-business SaaS or similarly complex technical industries.
- Expertise in SEO encompassing keyword planning, content strategy, technical SEO, and outcome measurement.
- Highly experienced in conversion rate optimization, including refining landing pages, user flow and conducting A/B tests with continual improvements.
- Skilled in building nurturing and marketing automation sequences that enhance sales productivity and appreciation.
- Comfortable with marketing technologies such as web analytics, visitor tracking, CRM systems, and capable of assessing and adopting new tools as needed.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, able to report transparently and adapt based on performance metrics.
- Proactive, practical approach - prefers building and iterating over endless strategizing.
- Fluent in leveraging AI tools daily to enhance speed and output while knowing when manual judgment is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience managing paid marketing campaigns across search engines and social media platforms.
- Background in energy, climate technology, or other data-intensive markets.
- Sharp copywriting skills, especially transforming technical material into engaging marketing content.
- Experience using HubSpot or comparable CRM and automation platforms.
- Comfort working in a startup environment tolerant of ambiguity.
- Proficiency in an additional European language.
