Overview
Selwyn District Council is seeking a skilled Group Fitness Instructor to join their vibrant team at facilities located in Rolleston, Canterbury. This role involves hosting and supporting diverse recreational and sporting activities for individuals of all ages and fitness levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead group fitness classes tailored to accommodate participants with varying abilities and fitness backgrounds.
- Maintain a class environment that encourages repeat attendance through engaging and effective instruction.
- Develop positive relationships with members and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Conduct a broad range of land-based and aqua fitness sessions, with a preference for instructors experienced or interested in RPM classes.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred, although candidates with relevant backgrounds eager to pursue Les Mills certification are also encouraged to apply.
- Passionate about the sport and recreation sector and motivated to establish meaningful community connections through quality fitness programs.
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service and seeking ongoing professional development.
- Ability to ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive setting for all class participants.
