About the Role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller for a 15-month contract based in County Westmeath, Ireland. This key position within a large, globally reaching group is integral to supporting the Senior Leadership Team and Board by providing accurate and timely financial and commercial insights in a private equity backed environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with individual business unit Financial Controllers to deliver consolidated group financial reports and planning outputs.
  • Ensure uniform application of policies, procedures, and templates during month-end reporting, consistently meeting group deadlines.
  • Own the accuracy and promptness of monthly consolidated management accounts, including reports prepared for the Board.
  • Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements, coordinating with auditors to fulfill internal and external year-end reporting requirements.
  • Work with advisors to guarantee comprehensive and timely group tax filings.
  • Develop consolidated group budgets and forecasts with standardized assumptions and formats, including Board presentations.
  • Provide regular consolidated financial information to external stakeholders such as lenders.
  • Create consolidated financial and commercial reports internally, including treasury, sales/margin, and capital expenditure analyses.
  • Maintain a continuously updated, audit-ready consolidated data repository.
  • Partner with the IT department to automate the group reporting process through organizational systems.
  • Integrate newly acquired entities into group reporting frameworks, policies, and timelines.

Candidate Profile

  • Certified Accountant with multiple years of post-qualification experience in environments spanning multiple sites and currencies.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills at senior management levels.
  • Proficient understanding of IT systems to enable a unified financial information perspective.
  • Collaborative team player capable of strong cross-group relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail paired with strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities, balanced with strategic oversight.

Additional Information

This role offers a salary range of €120,000 to €130,000 with benefits. The position supports hybrid working arrangements with an expectation of 2-3 days onsite weekly.
