Role Overview
The Group Chief Human Resources Officer will lead the comprehensive transformation of the global HR function to align with the organizational vision and strategic goals. This senior leadership role requires a data-driven approach to decision-making and a strong commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. The role includes oversight of talent management, organizational development, employee engagement, succession planning, and ensuring adherence to international labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and implement the HR strategic plan that supports broader business objectives and enhances organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to embed company values into the organizational culture and performance benchmarks.
- Design and execute recruitment and retention strategies to secure high-caliber talent and align with growth plans.
- Oversee employee development initiatives, aligning them with career progression and succession frameworks.
- Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion programs to maintain a harmonious and socially responsible workplace.
- Utilize HR analytics and workforce metrics to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Advance employee engagement through feedback systems and actionable plans based on employee insights.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws across jurisdictions, advising leadership on HR best practices.
- Manage change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and maintain positive employee morale.
- Promote a culture of high performance by setting clear expectations, mentoring, and recognizing achievements.
- Engage with external HR networks and industry bodies to share and apply best practices.
- Continuously refine HR policies and processes to keep pace with global trends and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead the adoption of HR technologies to automate processes and enhance employee experience.
- Administer the HR budget to optimize resource allocation and investment in employee development.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and board on all HR-related matters contributing to strategic leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 15 years of progressive HR experience including 8+ years in executive leadership roles.
- Proven capability in developing and executing strategic HR initiatives across complex multinational organizations.
- Expertise in talent acquisition, workforce planning, organizational design, and learning frameworks.
- Demonstrable success in promoting diversity and inclusion to boost engagement and reduce turnover.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international labor laws and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in applying HR analytics to improve organizational performance and support data-informed choices.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and managing high-performing HR teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence abilities.
- Strategic orientation focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Competency in crisis management and resolving complex employee relations challenges.
- Ability to build and maintain robust relationships with regulatory and industry partners.
- Experience with digital HR transformations and applying technology in HR processes.
