Join the team at Your Independent Grocer in Port Elgin, Ontario, and contribute to a positive shopping environment by making sure the store is well-stocked and ready for customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service through attentive stocking of shelves and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Maintain merchandise displays and shelving to company standards.
  • Ensure products are scanned accurately at checkout, monitor inventory levels, and assist with placing orders.
  • Implement company promotions and programs as directed.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • No prior experience necessary; comprehensive training is provided for success.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Resourceful and polite when assisting customers and resolving questions.
  • Keen motivation to learn and grow within the role.

Additional Information

This role is part of a unionized workplace, with pay rates governed by the collective bargaining agreement. Starting wages range between $17.60 and $18.45 per hour. Candidates must be 18 or older and complete a criminal background check during the application process.
