Position Overview

The Graphic Designer III role involves creating compelling visual concepts and designs for a variety of print and digital materials. You will collaborate closely with marketing and development teams to maintain brand consistency across multiple platforms. This role requires handling diverse projects such as advertisements, websites, logos, brochures, and social media content.

Work Arrangement

The position operates on a hybrid basis, requiring a minimum of one day per month on-site work after initial training and acclimation. Additional on-site presence may be requested as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design projects from initial concept development through to final delivery.
  • Engage with clients to understand their goals and design requirements.
  • Develop and present creative design proposals and strategic approaches.
  • Create high-quality graphics for digital and print platforms.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and printers to ensure accuracy in production.
  • Keep current with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong skills in layout and publication design.
  • Understanding and application of JAWS screen reader technology.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and creating accessible PDFs and electronic documents.
  • Experience with forms and document design using plain language principles.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of relevant graphic design experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.

Physical Demands

The role includes office and warehouse settings requiring manual dexterity, physical movement such as reaching, kneeling, crouching, and the ability to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Employees must be able to communicate effectively and adapt to workplace noises including machinery and vehicles.

Additional Information

The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances for access to facility systems and properties. The workplace is drug-free in compliance with federal contractor regulations.

Compensation

Hourly compensation ranges between $38 and $42, dependent on location, qualifications, and experience.
