Job description
Overview
Canterbury Christ Church University is seeking a Graduate Sports Development Officer to join their Sport and Active Health team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment that fosters innovative sports programmes and activities designed to engage students, staff, and the community.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver a variety of sports activities and innovative programmes aimed at increasing participation across the university community.
- Lead the implementation of the Club Sport programme and assist in organising large-scale mass-participation sports events.
- Support additional departmental initiatives including Active Campus, Sports Scholarships, and physical activity programmes.
- Manage logistics for multiple projects and events while balancing diverse workstreams efficiently.
Candidate Profile
- Recent graduate from Canterbury Christ Church University (within the last two years).
- Degree holder with a qualification in coaching or fitness, alongside relevant professional experience in sport development.
- Energetic and outgoing personality with natural skills in engaging and motivating participants.
- Confident in delivering active sessions and able to connect effectively with students.
- Flexible with working hours, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
Working Arrangements
The role primarily requires on-campus presence, with flexibility to perform tasks based on service requirements. The university promotes an inclusive, supportive culture focused on innovation, fairness, and sustainability.
Additional Information
- The contract is fixed term for two years.
