Role Overview
As a Graduate Engineer at SMEC, you will engage with impactful infrastructure projects, supporting seasoned engineers and experts. The two-year Graduate Development Program (GDP) offers an accelerated growth path combining practical project involvement, mentorship, and interdisciplinary exposure.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in geotechnical project delivery by supporting site investigations, analysis, and reporting
- Perform geotechnical assessments, including evaluation of soil and rock, under senior supervision
- Participate in site visits and subsurface condition evaluations to understand construction methods
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical insights into projects
- Apply industry standards and tools through structured learning and practical experience
Candidate Profile
We seek a driven Civil or Geotechnical Engineering graduate passionate about problem-solving and teamwork, eager to contribute to tangible infrastructure developments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Proactive attitude with adaptability and eagerness to learn
- Familiarity with geotechnical or modelling software, GIS, or data analysis tools is advantageous
