About the Role
Right Hook Digital is looking for a dedicated and commercially savvy Google Ads Strategist specialising in eCommerce to join their expanding Google team. Operating fully remotely across Australia and New Zealand, this full-time position involves working within AEST/AEDT business hours from 9am to 5pm with flexibility. Candidates should bring 2 to 4 years of Google Ads experience, ideally gained in eCommerce or agency environments. The annual remuneration can reach up to AUD 100,000 including superannuation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, Demand Generation, and Video channels for a range of eCommerce clients.
- Maintain daily oversight of account health including budgets, pacing, performance tracking, and proactive fine-tuning.
- Precisely construct and launch new campaigns, ad groups, and structured shopping feeds.
- Perform keyword research, analyze search terms, and manage keywords continuously.
- Design and implement A/B testing strategies on ad copy, bidding methods, and audience segments.
- Coordinate with creative teams to develop and align advertising assets.
- Create detailed, insight-driven performance reports and engage in client communications.
- Participate actively in client meetings and internal strategy discussions to represent and advocate for managed accounts.
- Stay updated on Google Ads innovations, beta releases, best practices, and ensure policy compliance.
- Scale campaigns based on data and ROI targets, troubleshoot tracking issues, and oversee tag implementation.
- Develop and maintain product feeds using tools like DataFeedWatch and Google Merchant Center.
Candidate Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of practical experience managing Google Ads in eCommerce settings, including agency or multi-client exposure.
- Expertise in campaign types such as Search, Shopping, Video/YouTube, Demand Generation, and Performance Max, with the ability to prioritise these effectively.
- Proven capability to handle significant advertising budgets responsibly.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics critically and ask insightful questions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, comfortable engaging directly with clients both in correspondence and meetings.
- Highly self-driven and proactive working remotely without requiring constant supervision.
- Collaborative attitude, sharing successes and raising concerns early, contributing beyond immediate responsibilities.
- Willingness to occasionally attend meetings aligned with US business hours, as needed.
Preferred But Not Mandatory
- Experience using feed management platforms like DataFeedWatch.
- Exposure to other paid media platforms such as Meta and TikTok.
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and setting up conversion tracking.
- Experience managing cross-channel campaigns involving platforms beyond Google Ads.
- Holding Google Ads certifications in Search, Shopping, or Performance Max.
- Prior experience working with eCommerce brands based in the US or Australia.
