Role Overview
The Global Vice President of Finance is a fully remote, full-time position responsible for the comprehensive oversight of finance activities globally at GBM Asset Management. Key duties encompass directing financial planning and analysis processes including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling to guide strategic decisions. Day-to-day tasks involve managing the financial reporting lifecycle, ensuring accurate and prompt financial statement preparation, and maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
This senior finance leader collaborates with executive management, investment teams, and operations to assess business outcomes, optimize capital deployment, and back new product developments. Additional responsibilities include developing and mentoring the finance division, strengthening internal controls, and deploying enhanced tools and systems to boost financial transparency, operational efficiency, and risk oversight.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Robust foundation in finance with proficiency interpreting and managing financial statements and reporting.
- Significant expertise in financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning.
- Advanced analytical capabilities to convert complex financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
- Proven senior leadership experience in finance within asset management, investment banking, or comparable financial services sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and internal control and risk management best practices.
- Exceptional communication and presentation proficiency, capable of influencing and collaborating across cultures and time zones.
- Experienced in supervising remote or distributed teams, promoting teamwork in a global environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields; a postgraduate degree (MBA) or professional qualifications like CPA or CFA are favored.
