Position Summary

The Global Payroll Specialist role entails managing comprehensive payroll operations for diverse international entities, ensuring precise execution, compliance with local laws, and delivering an exceptional employee experience. This position involves addressing complex payroll challenges, handling employee inquiries, and preserving data integrity between systems such as Workday and ADP Celergo. The specialist also supports audit and compliance activities and seeks opportunities to enhance payroll processes and automate workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive payroll processing for multiple countries utilizing ADP Celergo.
• Perform thorough reviews and validations of payroll inputs, conducting audits covering gross-to-net calculations, variance analyses, and retroactive adjustments.
• Manage off-cycle payroll runs, adjustments, and special payments adhering to service level agreements and internal controls.
• Investigate and resolve intricate payroll issues, discrepancies, and respond to employee payroll questions promptly.
• Ensure strict compliance with local statutory obligations, internal policies, and audit standards.
• Conduct control verifications, maintain detailed documentation, and facilitate internal and external audit processes.
• Verify accuracy of payroll data exchanges between integrated systems and collaborate with IT teams to address data or integration concerns.
• Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to guarantee timely and accurate payroll delivery.
• Contribute to payroll system updates, testing activities, and the rollout of payroll services in new countries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and minimize manual interventions.

Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in payroll processing and regulatory compliance within Ireland.
• Familiarity with payroll operations in the UK, Malta, and India is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking and sound judgment to resolve complex payroll challenges and pinpoint underlying causes.
• Experience working with integrated payroll and human resource management systems, particularly Workday and ADP Celergo.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on controls and accuracy.
• Capability to independently manage sizable workloads within strict deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to clearly explain complex payroll matters.

Minimum Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least four years of pertinent payroll experience.
• Preferred experience includes managing multi-country or international payroll environments.
• Proficiency in Workday and ServiceNow platforms.
• Essential experience with ADP Celergo.

This role offers a base annual salary ranging from €49,900 to €83,100, complemented by potential additional compensation such as bonuses or long-term incentives.
