About Uber and the Team
Uber champions diversity and a workplace culture that values each individual’s unique contributions beyond just their job capabilities. Our open environment encourages everyone to express their insights freely. Uber Eats has been a dominant player in online food delivery for over a decade, catering to Australians and New Zealanders. While many have experienced our services, our focus remains on broadening our customer base and enhancing growth among eaters, delivery partners, and restaurants in the ANZ region. Embracing our #GoGetIt value, the team is committed to delivering excellent customer experiences and enabling earnings growth for merchants and drivers alike.
Role Overview
As the Global Delivery Partnerships Key Account Director for Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) in ANZ, you act as the chief business strategist and internal leader for Uber Eats' critical enterprise clients in the region. You will be fully responsible for the profit and loss statement of our largest partnerships, which represent a substantial portion of Uber Eats' regional revenue. This role transcends traditional relationship management, demanding expert leadership across corporate-franchise governance, complex API and POS integrations, and negotiation of multi-year contracts. The position reports directly to the Head of Global Delivery Partnerships and indirectly to the ANZ General Manager. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team involving Account Management, Operations, Product, and Marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee strategic growth and financial outcomes, including gross bookings, marketplace fees, and margins, to meet challenging annual targets.
- Lead high-level negotiations to develop and execute multi-year Master Services Agreements and collaborative business plans with executive-level stakeholders.
- Manage multi-million-dollar joint marketing funds, ensuring effective capital allocation with measurable returns on investment.
- Balance corporate objectives with those of franchisee associations and regional councils, navigating the complexities of QSR operational governance.
- Drive operational improvements at the store level affecting key metrics such as order pacing, prep time, courier wait time, and cancellations across thousands of outlets.
- Build trusted relationships with independent franchise owners to promote platform adherence, localized operational enhancement, and marketing participation without direct authority.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and merchant technical teams to implement and maintain advanced POS middleware and API systems.
- Ensure seamless commerce operations by resolving technical issues at the store level, maintaining menu availability, routing accuracy, and rapid order processing.
- Champion innovation by assisting co-development of delivery features like bundling, loyalty integration, and white-label fulfillment.
- Mobilize and coordinate cross-functional teams including Legal, Policy, Operations, Product, and Marketing to achieve partner goals.
- Engage with global counterparts to standardize best practices, scale product strategies, and preserve account continuity worldwide.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of proven commercial leadership handling large-scale enterprise portfolios valued above $100 million, complex retail chains, or fast-paced digital marketplaces.
- Expertise in high-stakes contract formulation, financial modeling, strategic negotiation, and managing relationships at senior executive levels.
- Deep understanding of corporate franchise frameworks, integrated supply chains, and large-scale retail operations; experience in QSR, delivery platforms, or modern retail enterprises is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering and product teams, with solid comprehension of API integrations, POS systems, and data sharing's impact on consumer transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines; preference for MBA or comparable advanced degree from prestigious institutions.
