Role Overview

As part of the Global Investigations Team based in Singapore, you will engage in on-demand investigations and rapid blockchain analyses for partners. Working closely with seasoned blockchain experts, engineers, and data scientists, you’ll develop scalable solutions and provide critical support to TRM’s clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate intricate cases involving phishing, blockchain exploits, hacking incidents, terrorism financing, account takeovers, money laundering, SIM swaps, ransomware, and other blockchain-related illicit activities.
• Generate detailed investigative reports and deliver findings both in written form and through presentations to customers.
• Conduct extensive research on prevalent blockchain crime types and translate insights into actionable intelligence.
• Handle sensitive, complex investigations for various partners.
• Proactively build and maintain partnerships within the industry to integrate new attribution sources into TRM’s investigative pipeline at scale.

Candidate Profile

• Hands-on experience or a strong interest in virtual currencies and blockchain analytics is important.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of combined experience as an investigator or analyst in either private or public sector settings.
• Proven ability to brief senior leadership within organizations.
• Skilled in problem structuring and prioritizing critical issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for diverse audiences, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
• Collaborative spirit to work cross-functionally and across organizational levels.
• A commitment to supporting team members and collectively achieving goals.
• Located in Singapore for onsite collaboration.

• Ideal candidates have a strong background in crypto investigations and law enforcement experience.
• Standard business hours apply locally, with weekly on-call duty for urgent events such as hacks or law enforcement support, potentially including weekend responses.
