Store Officer (Case Exhibits) - Criminal Investigation Department

About the Role

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Singapore Police Force is seeking an organized and detail-focused individual to join as a Store Officer managing case exhibits. You will be entrusted with complete management of the case exhibit storage, ensuring accurate registration, secure storage, and proper disposal of items following established protocols. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services and working under the Management Executive Scheme, your role is vital in maintaining the integrity of evidence that supports investigations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the case exhibit store including the receipt, withdrawal, and proper disposal of exhibits.
• Ensure accurate checking, packing, and sealing of exhibits compliant with required standards.
• Manage efficient organization and use of storage facility space.
• Coordinate monthly transportation and incineration of disposed exhibits.
• Conduct quarterly audits and reviews of stored case exhibits with relevant branches, tracking review outcomes.
• Monitor vehicle-related case exhibits ensuring their integrity and timely transfer to the vehicle pound.
• Handle exchange of valuable exhibits with outsourced vendors and CID officers.
• Regularly audit external storage facilities to confirm adherence to procedural standards.
• Collaborate with investigation officers to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding exhibit handling.
• Provide logistical support during major CID operations and assist in developing internal guidelines to improve exhibit management processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Competent with MS Office and inventory management computer systems.
• Highly attentive to detail, organized, and committed to maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Capable of independent work and managing multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
• Logistics industry experience is beneficial.
• Possession of a valid driving license is advantageous.
