Global Head of Industrial Expansion (Advanced Manufacturing)

About the Role

We are assisting a global advanced manufacturing company in recruiting a senior leader to serve as the Global Head of Industrial Expansion, based in Singapore. This pivotal position is responsible for overseeing substantial greenfield and brownfield manufacturing plant projects. Key accountabilities include new plant development, capital expenditure planning, managing EPC/EPCM contractors, construction oversight, commissioning, and transitioning the facilities to operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead significant capital initiatives encompassing greenfield plant creation, brownfield growth, and capacity enhancements within manufacturing sectors.
• Oversee project delivery stages from initial feasibility and conceptual phases through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and operational handoff.
• Manage all aspects of project scope, timeline, budget, risk mitigation, quality standards, safety compliance, and governance frameworks.
• Direct EPC/EPCM contractors, engineering consultants, construction vendors, and internal project teams.
• Guide site selection processes, regulatory due diligence, infrastructure planning, and formulate project execution strategies.
• Develop and lead localized project teams spanning multiple countries to ensure effective project management and execution.
• Collaborate intimately with senior leadership and cross-disciplinary teams including operations, engineering, procurement, finance, and environmental health and safety, along with external stakeholders.
• Implement project controls, establish reporting protocols, apply stage-gate governance models, and promote best practices for capital project management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated expertise delivering greenfield manufacturing facilities.
• Experience within industrial, process, or advanced manufacturing settings.
• Proficient in managing large-scale CAPEX projects across the Asian region.
• Strong background in managing EPC/EPCM contractors effectively.
• Skilled in leading projects through all phases: feasibility, front-end engineering design, construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
• Comprehensive understanding of project controls relating to cost, schedule, risks, safety, procurement, and governance.
• Able to engage with senior leadership and manage cross-functional regional teams.
• Willingness and ability to undertake global travel as required.
