Role Overview
As the Global Director of Growth Partnerships, you will spearhead the identification and development of new opportunities to accelerate Fonterra's expansion. Collaborating across innovation, supply chains, and market access, your role involves building strategic partnerships that benefit the Co-op, its farmers, and customers.
Reporting directly to the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer, you will unite teams across various regions and functions to connect Fonterra with organizations that can enhance our capabilities, speed up growth, and extend our global presence. Your expertise will span emerging innovators to established international entities, and you will convert potential opportunities into successful ventures.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive initiatives that expand Fonterra's reach beyond current markets.
- Foster connections among people, ideas, and organizations to generate shared value.
- Develop commercial arrangements that thoughtfully consider ambition, risk, and sustainable success.
- Enable Fonterra’s access to new capabilities, suppliers, and distribution channels.
- Translate promising prospects into impactful partnerships.
Candidate Profile
You are a commercially savvy leader experienced in uniting organizations to achieve collaborative outcomes that neither could accomplish independently. Skilled at relationship building and opportunity identification, you navigate complex deals with ease. Your negotiation expertise and senior stakeholder influence will help accelerate ideas into executable partnerships.
Essential qualifications and experience include:
- Professional legal qualification with experience managing major commercial transactions.
- Proven ability to negotiate and structure intricate agreements.
- Strong commercial acumen with a balanced approach to opportunity and risk.
- Experience working across international markets and diverse stakeholder groups.
- A collaborative mindset capable of influencing without direct authority.
Fonterra Values
Our core values—Good Together, Better Every Day, and Every Drop Counts—guide our commitment to excellence for farmers, customers, communities, and colleagues. We embrace diversity and inclusion as vital drivers of innovation and better decision-making.
Our Promise to You
- Competitive and fair remuneration.
- Health and wellness initiatives, including medical and mental health support.
- Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
- Encouragement of work-life balance with flexible and hybrid working options where possible.
- Employee recognition programs and support for community involvement and cultural engagement.
Diversity and Inclusion Commitment
We are committed to building a diverse workforce, reflecting various backgrounds and perspectives. We encourage applications from all individuals regardless of ethnicity, gender, identity, orientation, age, ability, neurodiversity, culture, or religion. Fonterra supports accommodations throughout the recruitment process to ensure equitable participation.
