Role overview
Aramark is hiring a General Utility Worker for the University of Louisiana in Monroe. This position is centered on keeping foodservice and support areas clean, safe, and organized while helping maintain a high standard of guest service. It is an entry point into the organization and offers a chance to build skills in a service-focused environment.
Responsibilities and expectations may differ slightly by location depending on client needs and operational requirements.
What you will do
- Help deliver a positive guest experience by ensuring dishes, pots, pans, glassware, silverware, equipment, and kitchen tools are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Keep the dishwashing area, three-compartment sink, and adjacent spaces neat and maintained.
- Check that equipment remains clean and operational, and inform management if anything needs attention.
- Handle additional light cleaning and custodial duties as assigned.
- Support a professional, friendly, and service-oriented environment for guests, customers, clients, and teammates.
- Follow Aramark safety standards, including food safety and sanitation practices.
- Protect company property and assets.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of basic sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow safety procedures when working around hazardous chemicals.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical capability to lift, bend, push, pull, and spend long periods walking or standing.
- May need to wear a uniform and use personal protective equipment.
