General Manager (m/w/d) - XIAO Restaurant

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and responsible General Manager to lead the XIAO Asian restaurant located in Troisdorf. This position involves running the restaurant like an independent entrepreneur, managing day-to-day operations smoothly, and ensuring a memorable guest experience. You will lead, coach, and motivate your team to continuously improve results while supporting the executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and operation of a XIAO restaurant with an annual net turnover of 4-5 million euros, serving approximately 150,000 guests yearly with about 60 staff members.
• Take full operational accountability for the restaurant's performance.
• Recruit new employees and build a strong pool of emerging talents.
• Develop and implement training concepts to educate new and existing employees.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety, and quality standards.
• Manage inventory efficiently and optimize staff scheduling for peak performance.
• Maintain restaurant profitability and functionality by setting clear goals and KPIs and taking corrective measures when necessary.
• Provide professional guest management ensuring excellent service standards.
• Maintain effective communication with executive management and facilitate information flow.
• Collaborate with internal departments including HR, marketing, procurement, and controlling.
• Engage with external partners and consumers professionally.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in system gastronomy with several years in a comparable managerial role, especially as operations manager.
• Experience working in buffet-style restaurant settings.
• Good command of English language.
• Strong operational skills coupled with a dual mindset of host and entrepreneur.
• Inspirational and positive leadership qualities promoting team involvement, coaching, and motivation.
• Solid business management knowledge with entrepreneurial mindset and analytical thinking.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the skill to prioritize effectively.
