General Manager at XIAO Restaurant

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated General Manager (m/w/d) to lead our Asian restaurant XIAO. This role demands a proactive leader who takes ownership and responsibility for managing daily operations. As the General Manager, you will function like an independent entrepreneur, supporting executive management and ensuring smooth workflows while creating exceptional guest experiences. You will lead, train, and motivate your team to continuously improve outcomes with a long-term strategic perspective and embody enthusiasm for the XIAO brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of a XIAO restaurant generating 4-5 million euros in net annual revenue, serving about 150,000 guests annually, and managing around 60 staff members.
• Hold full operational accountability for the restaurant's performance and guest satisfaction.
• Recruit new employees and build a talent pool for future leadership.
• Develop and implement training programs for new and current employees.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Manage inventory efficiently and maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Create effective personnel schedules aligned with business needs.
• Maintain financial viability and operational functionality through clearly defined goals and KPIs, initiating corrective measures as necessary.
• Provide excellent guest service management.
• Maintain clear communication channels between the restaurant and company management.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as HR, Marketing, Purchasing, and Controlling.
• Engage with external partners and customers professionally.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive experience in system catering with proven multi-year leadership roles in restaurant management.
• Previous professional exposure to buffet-style dining concepts.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Strong leadership skills that combine entrepreneurial mindset with excellent guest service.
• Solid knowledge of business management and operations.
• Entrepreneurial thinking and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and prioritization abilities.
