General Manager (m/w/d) – Neueröffnung Mercure Hotel Frankfurt

Role overview

For the launch of a new Mercure by Accor hotel in Frankfurt, the company is looking for an experienced and committed General Manager (m/f/d) to join around August/September 2026. The property will operate as a 4-star Mercure hotel with 140 contemporary guest rooms, an on-site restaurant and bar, and 3 conference rooms.

Key responsibilities

The role carries full accountability for successfully opening the hotel and managing day-to-day operations thereafter. You will lead, inspire, and develop the entire hotel team, ensure that quality and service levels remain aligned with Accor standards, and take ownership of budget, revenue, and overall financial performance. Close coordination with the ownership company and Accor will also be part of the position, along with building a high-performing team and establishing a strong market presence for the hotel.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings several years of experience as a General Manager or in a similar senior leadership role within international hospitality. Background in branded or chain hotels is important, preferably with exposure to the Accor group. Experience in hotel openings would be an advantage. Strong leadership and organisational abilities, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a clear focus on results are essential. Very good written and spoken German and English are required.
