General Cardiologist - Internal Medicine with Cardiology Focus

Role and Facility Information

The Vancouver Island Health Authority's Department of Cardiac Services is offering two positions for General Cardiologists to join the Internal Medicine team with a dedicated focus on cardiovascular disease. These roles aim to establish a Heart Health Division in Victoria, which will complement an existing, well-established 21-member Division of Cardiology in the city.

Eligible candidates must hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Cardiology. Experience in sub-specialties such as women’s health, adult congenital heart disease, cardio-oncology, or cardiac rehabilitation is considered advantageous. Responsibilities will include duties in the coronary care unit, cardiology wards, and providing cardiology consultation services.
