Goldman Sachs is hiring an Associate for the Corporate Derivatives desk in New York, part of Global Banking & Markets and the Capital Solutions Group. This team sits within Investment Banking and partners closely with Global Markets and Classic Investment Banking to help clients understand, structure, and execute tailored derivative solutions.
The broader Capital Solutions Group brings together financing, origination, structuring, and risk management capabilities. It operates at the intersection of public and private markets, combining advisory strength, an origination franchise, and an investing platform that allocates capital across liquid and alternative asset classes.
What you will do
- Design interest rate hedge solutions, including fixed-to-floating and floating-to-fixed structures, for public and private companies across different credit ratings.
- Build and execute FX hedging solutions tied to debt currency mix and broader corporate risk needs.
- Apply corporate finance, derivatives, and capital markets knowledge to structure and implement hedges.
- Prepare pitch decks, client presentations, and marketing collateral.
- Identify, approach, and onboard new clients to the Goldman Sachs derivatives platform.
- Develop and implement new ideas for managing existing hedge portfolios more effectively.
- Create and review derivative pricing models, financial models, and company financial statements.
- Work with both external clients and internal Goldman Sachs groups, including Classic Banking, IG/HY Debt Capital Markets, Trading, Credit, and CVA teams.
Requirements
- A strong academic background is required, with a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree.
- Relevant experience working with Global Markets products and multinational corporations is preferred, especially in corporate rates.
- Solid quantitative and analytical thinking, along with strong problem-solving skills, is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required.
- You should be comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment.
- A clear interest in finance, investment banking, and foreign exchange is expected.
- The role calls for a dependable, energetic, and ownership-driven work style.
- You must be able to manage several assignments at the same time.
About the team
