Castelan Group, a leading UK specialist in furniture repair and care, is seeking a Furniture Technician to join their field team based in Exeter, covering Cornwall and nearby regions. This role offers the chance to work independently visiting clients' homes and workplaces to inspect, diagnose, and repair various types of furniture to ensure quality restoration.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site assessments and repairs on upholstery, leather, wooden furniture, and related items.
- Identify faults and perform professional repairs maintaining high standards.
- Prepare accurate reports and submit information promptly.
- Aim for first-visit issue resolution and achieve quality targets.
- Recommend and promote furniture care products as appropriate.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in excellent condition.
- Provide feedback and ideas to continuously improve service quality.
Candidate Profile
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a full UK driving licence (accepting up to six penalty points), and have proven hands-on experience repairing furniture or related materials such as wood or leather. Confidence working independently in customer environments is essential. A professional attitude with excellent interpersonal skills is required.
