About the Role

This position is for a customer-facing home and furnishing design professional who can blend sales, consultation, and interior styling. The role focuses on helping clients shape well-planned home interiors by recommending suitable furnishings, decor elements, and fitted furniture solutions, while also preparing design concepts and estimates.

Key Responsibilities

Offer expert home decor guidance by first understanding each customer’s requirements, style preferences, budget, and current interior setup.
Suggest appropriate colour combinations, furnishings, decorative elements, and interior solutions across a range of product categories.
Develop tailored design ideas using approved design applications and digital visualization tools.
Prepare precise cost estimates based on approved pricing rules and rate cards.
Include fitted furniture and other relevant decor solutions in customer proposals wherever suitable.
Ensure every customer receives a personalised, smooth, and engaging consultation experience.
Work with store staff, contractors, and execution partners to deliver projects on time and with quality.
Track project progress to make sure recommended systems, quality expectations, and installation practices are followed.
Identify and coordinate with empanelled contractors for project execution whenever required.
Follow up on payments according to agreed schedules and immediately highlight any delays or deviations.
Keep complete records, quotations, customer files, and daily activity reports updated.
Take part in store campaigns, promotional events, customer engagement initiatives, and assigned team activities.
Maintain professional appearance, courteous customer handling, and workplace discipline at all times.
Collaborate with the store team to support a positive and productive work culture.
Comply with store working hours, attendance requirements, and internal procedures.

Conversion rate from customer consultation to design sale.
Achievement of monthly sales and revenue targets.
Overall value of finalized design estimates.
Customer satisfaction and feedback ratings.
Completion of projects within agreed timelines.
Accuracy of quotations and design proposals.
On-time documentation and daily reporting.
Collection of payments as per committed schedules.

Qualifications

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Interior Designing, Fine Arts, or any creative discipline with at least 50% marks.
Any graduate with a diploma in Interior Designing and minimum 50% marks in graduation.
10+2 with a 2-year full-time diploma in Interior Designing or Fine Arts and minimum 50% marks in the diploma.

Experience

At least 1 year of experience as an interior designer, design consultant, or architect is preferred.
Fresh graduates who meet the educational requirements are also welcome to apply.

Additional Information

The role is based in Jalandhar, India. Candidates are expected to follow store operating hours, attendance policies, and internal processes. The position combines design consultation, sales support, project coordination, and customer service responsibilities.
