Job Overview
The role entails serving as an experienced SAP MM/SD consultant specializing in tax technology services, focusing on transforming multinational clients' tax functions through innovative solutions within a Tax Technology Consulting group. This position is open in several major Indian cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune, requiring a minimum of 4 years of relevant SAP experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as a senior-level SAP SD-MM consultant with over four years of hands-on experience in the SAP SD/MM modules, particularly in Indirect Tax and India GST related configuration, implementation, and support within S/4HANA SD.
- Deliver on at least three full lifecycle SAP implementation projects successfully within cohesive teams.
- Assist in the development and deployment of global SAP templates and rollouts.
- Apply expertise in managing customer master data, delivery processes, and the logistics of shipping and transportation.
- Configure complex billing processes including individual, collective, invoice splitting, inter-company billing, and credit management configurations.
- Set up pricing mechanisms including pricing procedures, condition types, tables, access sequences, records, exclusions, and supplements with a deep understanding of pricing methodologies.
- Conduct requirement gathering, detailed business and gap analyses, system configuration, interface customization, testing, user training, and facilitate workshops.
- Provide ongoing performance support and assist pre- and post-implementation phases.
- Understand and utilize integration points of SD with MM, PP, and FI/CO modules.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proficiency in preparing SAP functional specifications and documentation related to tax enhancements and configurations.
- Experience in testing SAP Order to Cash (O2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P) processes, including setting up necessary master data.
- Capability to create demos and presentations tailored for diverse client audiences.
- Strong analytical skills paired with excellent communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to efficiently manage and execute business-required changes and enhancements.
- In-depth experience with project phases including configuration, defect handling, testing, documentation, and user support.
- Skills in enhancing and modifying existing system functionality.
- Familiarity with Indirect Tax Reporting in SAP highly advantageous.
