Job description
Role Overview
A family in Gilbert, Arizona is searching for a caring, experienced full-time nanny to support their 5-month-old son on a long-term basis. They want someone who can grow into a dependable, trusted part of the household and provide steady, thoughtful care.
The position centers on building a structured, nurturing, and development-focused daily routine for the infant. The parents both work from home, so the nanny will need to be respectful of a shared home-and-work environment. The household also includes two friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, so comfort around dogs is required.
Schedule and Start Details
The role runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The family would like the nanny to begin as soon as possible, and they are looking for a long-term arrangement.
Core Duties
- Provide complete day-to-day care for the infant, including feeding, diaper changes, and bottle preparation.
- Support nap times and help maintain the baby’s sleep routine.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate developmental activities that encourage learning and growth.
- Reinforce the child’s developmental milestones and daily structure.
- Create engaging, screen-free infant activities throughout the day.
- Follow the family’s established feeding and sleep routines.
- Take the baby on neighborhood walks when appropriate.
- Handle infant laundry and assist with light kitchen tasks such as emptying or loading the dishwasher as needed.
- Keep open, consistent communication with the parents during the day.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant has solid experience caring for infants and understands early childhood development well. The family is looking for someone who brings warmth, patience, and a calm presence, while also being proactive and engaging.
They value a nanny who is personable, compassionate, and able to maintain structure while still following the parents’ lead. Strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to support the family’s parenting style are important.
Compensation
The pay is $18.50 per hour, with potential eligibility for future raises.
Why This Role Stands Out
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term relationship with a kind and involved family. The parents are seeking a collaborative, dependable caregiver who can help create a positive environment where their child can thrive.
Who This Role Fits
This opportunity is best suited to an experienced nanny who enjoys infant care, early developmental support, and providing a steady, enriching presence in a child’s daily life.
