Role Overview
A warm, close-knit family in Tribeca is looking for a seasoned, professional nanny to become a trusted long-term part of their home. The position centers on attentive care for their youngest child, while also supporting the day-to-day needs of the family’s twins. The family values kindness, patience, strong communication, and a dependable, collaborative approach.
The household includes 17-month-old twins and a baby due soon. The nanny will primarily focus on the infant, with the mother on maternity leave until the end of August. Beginning in September, the twins will attend school from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the mother will manage school drop-off.
Schedule and Start Date
This is a Monday through Friday position, scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Once fall begins, the hours will move to 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The family is hoping for a start in May or June 2026.
Core Duties
The nanny will be responsible for creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment that supports each child’s development and daily routines.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that are enjoyable and developmentally enriching
- Handle diapering and general hygiene support
- Sterilize bottles and other infant equipment
- Support developmental growth and milestone progress
- Take the children out for walks, outings, activities, and playdates
- Keep nap and feeding routines on track
- Manage children’s laundry and keep closets organized
- Replenish child-related items such as diaper bags, backpacks, and snacks
- Perform light child-related housekeeping, including keeping bedrooms and play areas neat, shared spaces organized, and kitchen surfaces clean
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children
- Maintain a daily communication record for the parents
Ideal Candidate
The family is seeking someone who is self-directed, highly reliable, energetic, and naturally engaging with children. The right person should be safety-minded, polished, organized, and able to work well as part of a team in a household setting.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of recent nanny experience
- Background caring for infants and multiple children in one household
- Authorization to work legally in the United States
- References from previous families
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to renew
- A positive, flexible, attentive, and energetic demeanor
Compensation and Benefits
Pay starts at $40 per hour and may increase based on experience and credentials. The role is paid on a W-2 basis, and overtime applies for hours beyond 40 per week.
