Job description

About the Role

Join Jovie as a flexible, on-call nanny catering to multiple families. This role is perfect for individuals who have experience in childcare settings such as babysitting, daycare, nannying, or church nursery volunteering. Retired educators or teaching professionals preferring a more intimate setting than a traditional classroom are also encouraged to apply. The position allows you to adapt your hours around personal schedules, such as school or other part-time roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home childcare without the responsibility of transporting children.
  • Maintain cleanliness related to your activities or meals, avoiding additional household duties.
  • Care primarily for infants and toddlers, with the highest demand for children under 2 years old.
  • Engage children safely through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities, tailored to each child’s observed needs.

What We Offer

  • Compensation ranging from $22 to $25 per hour.
  • Paid training sessions and a nanny kit containing age-specific activities and games for childcare visits.
  • Advancement opportunities within childcare, including priority placement with families seeking consistent full or part-time caregivers.
  • Paid sick leave applicable to both part-time and full-time roles.
  • Full-time benefits such as a medical stipend, paid vacation and holidays, student loan repayment matching, and retirement savings matching funds.
  • Additional perks like mileage reimbursement, performance bonuses, contests, and social gatherings for team support.
  • Employment on a W-2 basis, with unemployment insurance and resume-building experience.

Candidate Profile

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, whether paid or volunteer, with mandatory infant care experience.
  • Possession of reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different family homes locally.
  • Availability for shifts on at least three weekdays, each lasting 6 to 8 hours, between 7 AM and 7 PM.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude when interacting with families and supervisors.
