Job Overview
This role is based at the DTM1 Amazon Deutschland fulfilment centre located in Werne, Germany. Associates will engage in various warehouse operations involving inventory management, order preparation, and shipment loading with safety and efficiency.
Compensation and Work Hours
The hourly wage starts at 15.85€ gross for daytime shifts, with scheduled wage increases after 12 months (to 16.97€/hour) and 24 months (to 18.35€/hour). Fixed shift schedules are available for both part-time and full-time employees. Full-time shifts (30+ hours/week) include Early (Mon-Sat 06:30-15:00), Late (Mon-Sat 15:00-23:30), and Night (Mon-Sat 23:30-06:30) options. The typical working week involves 5 days from Monday to Saturday, averaging 38.75 hours, with shift rotations and approximately two Saturdays worked monthly.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and storing inventory within the warehouse.
- Preparing customer orders and securely packing them.
- Loading shipments onto trucks for delivery.
- Using barcode scanners and following computer prompts to complete tasks.
- Identifying and resolving operational issues to maintain smooth workflow.
- Ensuring all products meet quality standards before dispatch.
- Operating powered industrial trucks including forklifts, with provided training and certification.
- Working safely at heights up to 13 meters where necessary.
Physical and Skill Requirements
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 15 kg regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching throughout shifts.
- Using various equipment such as carts, dollies, hand trucks for material movement.
- Ascending and descending stairs as needed in the work environment.
- Adhering strictly to safety protocols, quality assurance, and production guidelines.
Additional Criteria
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and proficient in German and/or English to understand task instructions and safety requirements fully. Background checks and proof of work eligibility are mandatory prior to employment.
