As part of this team, you will assist in delivering comprehensive dental care to the community.

Role Overview

Lumino St Heliers is seeking a proactive and experienced Front Desk Coordinator to join their team. This role is integral to ensuring smooth daily operations through excellent patient interaction and administrative coordination.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients warmly to foster a welcoming environment
  • Manage scheduling of appointments and maintain the practice calendar efficiently
  • Keep patient records up to date, ensuring accuracy of personal and treatment information
  • Handle patient queries via in-person, phone, and online channels with exceptional service
  • Support financial operations, including payment processing, insurance claims handling, and discussing treatment costs with patients
  • Facilitate effective communication and workflow between the front desk and clinical team
  • Ensure the reception and front office areas are clean, organised, and presentable

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in dental or healthcare administration is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Strong customer service skills with the capacity to understand and engage patients of all ages
  • Highly organised with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask under pressure
  • Proficiency with computers and familiarity with dental practice management software
  • A positive, professional, and friendly demeanor even in stressful situations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a close team environment
  • Must hold valid New Zealand work rights and reside in Central Auckland
