As part of this team, you will assist in delivering comprehensive dental care to the community.
Role Overview
Lumino St Heliers is seeking a proactive and experienced Front Desk Coordinator to join their team. This role is integral to ensuring smooth daily operations through excellent patient interaction and administrative coordination.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients warmly to foster a welcoming environment
- Manage scheduling of appointments and maintain the practice calendar efficiently
- Keep patient records up to date, ensuring accuracy of personal and treatment information
- Handle patient queries via in-person, phone, and online channels with exceptional service
- Support financial operations, including payment processing, insurance claims handling, and discussing treatment costs with patients
- Facilitate effective communication and workflow between the front desk and clinical team
- Ensure the reception and front office areas are clean, organised, and presentable
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in dental or healthcare administration is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Strong customer service skills with the capacity to understand and engage patients of all ages
- Highly organised with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask under pressure
- Proficiency with computers and familiarity with dental practice management software
- A positive, professional, and friendly demeanor even in stressful situations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a close team environment
- Must hold valid New Zealand work rights and reside in Central Auckland
