Role Overview

We are seeking freelance Translators and Linguists to join our growing Productions team. Productions is a new marketplace merging AI audio technology with expert human review to produce high-quality, human-edited transcripts, subtitles, dubbing, audiobooks, and more at scale for a wide variety of clients such as YouTube channels, publishers, and entertainment companies.

As a Translator / Linguist, your primary responsibility will involve enhancing AI-assisted translations, ensuring linguistic precision, cultural relevance, and natural language flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Polish and improve AI-supported translations for language fluency, tone, and cultural context.
• Adapt scripts for dubbing, voiceover, and multimedia formats.
• Maintain terminology consistency and glossary accuracy across projects.
• Work closely with dubbing and audio specialists to optimize spoken translation quality.
• Manage your workload flexibly by selecting and completing tasks directly through our platform.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in one or more supported languages.
• Documented experience in professional translation or localization.
• Deep understanding of cultural nuances and audience-specific adaptation.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a passion for linguistic accuracy.
• Self-motivated with the ability to deliver superior work independently and punctually.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience translating audiovisual mediums such as films, YouTube content, e-learning materials, podcasts, or audiobooks.
• Background working with language service providers, localization teams, or media organizations.
• Familiarity with subtitle editing tools, CAT tools, or AI-based translation workflows.
• Experience using ElevenLabs platform or similar AI translation technologies.
• Educational background in linguistics, translation studies or language-related technology.

Additional Information

This is a remote freelance position open internationally, allowing for a flexible schedule and task-based remuneration.
