Role Overview

We are seeking a freelance Product Photographer/Videographer to operate at our Parramatta CBD studio in Sydney. This role involves capturing high-quality photos and videos of merchandise used for our online shop, marketing campaigns, and social media platforms.

Job Responsibilities

• Capture clean and well-illuminated product photographs and accompanying B-roll footage for e-commerce and promotional purposes.
• Produce engaging social media content including vertical and horizontal videos and photos with a casual, skit-driven style rather than highly polished setups.
• Perform light photo editing such as color correction and retouching based on project requirements.
• Manage studio equipment including DSLR cameras and lighting setups provided onsite.
• Arrange and archive all captured footage and images following established file organization protocols.
• Coordinate with the marketing team on detailed shot lists and scheduling for shoots.
• Travel to external locations using own vehicle for off-site shoots as needed.
• Adapt to varying shoot days and hours, typically 4-5 hours per session once or twice weekly or biweekly.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in product and e-commerce photography and B-roll, preferably with merchandise or apparel experience.
• Proven ability to shoot casual, personality-driven video content alongside commercial-standard footage.
• Proficient in using DSLR or mirrorless cameras along with studio lighting equipment.
• A keen visual sense aimed at optimizing imagery for social media and online retail contexts.
• Availability to work onsite in Parramatta CBD with flexible scheduling for both shoots and editing.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a car for transportation to external shoot sites.

Preferred Skills

• Interest or knowledge of Glitch Productions' animated shows and related fandom or meme culture.
• Experience with motion graphics tools such as After Effects or comparable software.
