Role overview
The Franchise Sales and Development Manager will lead efforts to grow the brand by attracting, evaluating, onboarding, and supporting qualified franchise partners. The position blends franchise acquisition expertise with practical operational knowledge to support disciplined expansion, protect brand standards, and help franchisees succeed in the fast-moving Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) space.
Franchise sales and recruitment
- Create and run franchise sales strategies designed to meet ambitious growth goals.
- Source, assess, and connect with prospective franchisees through prospecting, professional networking, digital outreach, and broker relationships.
- Communicate the brand’s business case and operating expectations to potential partners.
- Support candidates throughout the franchise discovery journey, from application and review through due diligence and contract signing.
- Work with legal partners to make sure franchise agreements align with applicable regulations and brand requirements.
Franchise development and support
- Assist franchisees with site selection, site approval, and store construction or build-out activities.
- Coordinate onboarding, training, and pre-opening support across relevant internal teams.
- Encourage multi-unit ownership and help strong performers expand their footprint.
Planning, reporting, and market insight
- Track sales pipelines, territory progress, and performance data accurately in CRM systems.
- Prepare and present recurring updates on franchise growth, revenue contribution, and expansion opportunities to the Franchising Department head.
- Monitor market movements, competitor activity, and consumer trends to support informed strategy decisions.
Education and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a closely related discipline is required; an MBA is preferred. The role calls for at least 5 years of experience in franchise sales and development, ideally in QSR or food service. Background in franchising, licensing, and sales/business development that includes complex negotiations with business owners or C-suite leaders is essential. Real estate experience is considered an added advantage. Candidates should also have a proven history of franchise recruitment and territory development, along with strong proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office or comparable systems.
Location, travel, and work authorization
The candidate must currently live in the eastern United States or be prepared to relocate there. This is an onsite position with approximately 75% travel. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the USA. Immediate availability is required.
