Forklift Driver

Role overview

This position is responsible for operating forklift equipment in a safe and efficient manner to help warehouse and distribution activities run smoothly. The role focuses on the accurate movement, storage, and dispatch of stock while upholding strict standards for safety, quality, and operational performance.

What you will do

• Use forklifts safely to load, unload, transfer, and stack pallets.
• Handle stock accurately and follow FIFO/FEFO stock rotation practices.
• Keep the work area clean and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and housekeeping.
• Carry out equipment inspections and record basic forklift maintenance checks.
• Spot and report any stock that is damaged, leaking, or does not meet standards.
• Assist with stock counts, audits, and wider warehouse duties as needed.
• Provide reliable service to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and health and safety requirements.

Skills and experience needed

The ideal candidate should already hold a valid forklift licence and have prior exposure to warehouse or logistics operations. A solid grasp of safe operating methods and workplace procedures is important, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to stay effective in a fast-moving environment. The role also calls for someone who works well in a team, takes responsibility seriously, and can be relied on consistently.
