Role overview
This permanent full-time role is based at the Waitematā Brewery in Auckland. You will be part of the brewery maintenance team, supporting the safe and efficient production of beer, cider, RTDs, and alcohol-free beverages.

Key responsibilities
In this hands-on position, you will help keep brewery operations running smoothly by performing maintenance work to high standards and supporting improvement initiatives.
- Provide maintenance work that is safe, prompt, and cost-effective, aligned with production and maintenance plans.
- Complete reactive, scheduled, and predictive maintenance tasks with a strong focus on quality.
- Support and help drive TPM and continuous improvement activities to reduce losses and lift performance.
- Take ownership of a technical area, helping with asset care, extending equipment life, and contributing to innovation.
- Coordinate closely with production, planning, and maintenance colleagues to maintain steady operations.
- Help uphold safety, quality, food safety, and sustainability expectations throughout the brewery.
Requirements
- A current New Zealand Electrical Practising Licence is mandatory.
- Previous maintenance experience in FMCG, food, or beverage manufacturing is preferred.
- Good understanding of plant equipment, machinery, and maintenance engineering methods.
- Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance reporting tools.
- A practical approach to continuous improvement; exposure to TPM, Lean, or CI methods would be an advantage.
- Ability to work well with others, adapt to changing needs, and share technical knowledge.
- Experience with utilities systems such as boilers, compressors, or refrigeration is beneficial but not essential.
