Job description
About the company
ofi is an international business that works across agricultural supply chains, food ingredient processing, and crop cultivation. The company serves more than 13,000 customers across 16 platforms and operates in over 65 countries, with sourcing and processing activities in most major producing regions. In Australia and New Zealand, its portfolio includes cocoa, dairy, and almonds.
Role overview
This opportunity is part of ofi’s Autonomy Agricultural team and involves running autonomous machinery at almond orchards to carry out the yearly spray program. You will work alongside a broader team and contribute to the growth cycle of the almond trees.
The position is based at Kerarbury Orchard in New South Wales, near Griffith and Darlington Point.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in smart farming and modern agricultural technology, along with basic-to-intermediate computer skills. Prior exposure to agriculture or horticulture of around 1–2 years is preferred, though a strong enthusiasm for horticulture is also valued. Experience handling farm equipment will be an advantage, and a ChemCert qualification is helpful but not mandatory.
Additional information
Applicants should be prepared to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, which includes drug and alcohol screening, as part of the hiring process.
How to apply
If you are interested in contributing to a team deploying advanced agricultural technology, this role could be a strong fit.
