Job description
Role Overview
This position is for a food service counter attendant in Souris West, Prince Edward Island. The role focuses on serving customers efficiently, preparing basic menu items, and keeping the food service area clean and organized.
Key Duties
- Collect customer orders and handle them accurately.
- Prepare, warm, and complete simple food items as needed.
- Pack food for take-out orders.
- Portion and wrap food items for service.
- Restock refrigerators and salad bars.
- Clear tables, trays, and chairs, and keep service areas tidy.
- Wash dishes and other items by hand, including sanitizing them properly.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, including counters, cupboards, storage spaces, appliances, and equipment.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain cleanliness.
Education and Experience
No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required. Training will be provided on the job.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, full-time on-site role. Scheduled shifts may include early morning, morning, evening, night, weekday, and weekend work. The expected work schedule is 33 to 44 hours per week, and the workplace language is English.
