Food Counter Attendant

Role overview

Pizza Hut Canada is hiring a food counter attendant in Petrolia, Ontario. This is a permanent, full-time onsite position focused on customer service, food preparation support, cleaning, and counter operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Education and experience

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required. The employer will provide training for this role.

Core duties

• Wash and disinfect items such as dish mats, carts, and waste containers.
• Remove dishes, trays, and chairs from service areas and clean them.
• Store clean dishes in the proper area.
• Hand-wash and sanitize dishes and other utensils or equipment.
• Pack food for takeout orders.
• Portion, wrap, and assemble food items.
• Heat, finish, and prepare basic menu items.
• Serve customers at the counter or buffet area.
• Take customer orders accurately.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including countertops, cupboards, storage spaces, appliances, and equipment.
• Receive deliveries, unpack supplies, and organize them in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage.
• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.

Working conditions

This job involves a busy, high-pressure setting with extended periods of standing and physically demanding tasks. The role may require handling items weighing up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).

Schedule and terms

Work hours are 40 per week. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, nights, days, weekends, overtime, and on-call coverage.

The work language is English.

Safety and travel requirements

The position requires bondability and personal transportation.
