Job description
Role Overview
This position is for a food counter attendant in a busy food service setting in Red Deer, Alberta. The role focuses on preparing quick-service food items, handling customer orders, and keeping the food preparation area clean, stocked, and organized.
Education
A secondary school graduation certificate is required.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, heat, and complete preparation of basic menu items.
- Record and process customer orders.
- Operate manual and powered equipment to clean, peel, cut, and trim ingredients.
- Maintain sanitation across the kitchen, including counters, cabinets, storage spaces, appliances, and tools.
- Accept deliveries, unpack items, and place supplies into refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage.
- Keep kitchen knives sharpened and ready for use.
- Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
- Prepare vegetables and fruit by washing, peeling, and cutting them.
Experience
Prior experience of 1 to less than 7 months is expected.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent role with working hours of 30 to 40 hours each week. The work language is English.
