Job description
Job Overview
This is a permanent full-time position based in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, where English is the primary workplace language. The job involves working 40 hours per week in a fast-paced food service environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness by clearing tables, trays, and chairs regularly.
- Package take-out orders efficiently and accurately.
- Portion, wrap, and prepare simple food items including heating and finishing dishes.
- Serve customers at counters or buffet stations professionally.
- Restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
- Take and process customer orders promptly.
- Utilize both manual and electric kitchen appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim food products.
- Ensure kitchen sanitation standards by cleaning work surfaces, cupboards, storage spaces, appliances, and equipment.
- Remove waste through proper kitchen garbage and trash disposal.
- Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits.
