Role overview

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Battleford, Saskatchewan, with work scheduled in English. The role requires 40 hours per week and includes shift-based coverage across mornings, evenings, nights, days, weekends, and early mornings.

Education and experience

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required. Previous experience is not mandatory, as training will be provided on the job.

Key duties

  • Deliver clean dishes, cutlery, and related items to service areas and arrange tables as needed.
  • Replace linens and keep service areas stocked and orderly.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain dishwashing mats, carts, waste disposal units, and similar equipment.
  • Clear tables, trays, and chairs, and keep dining and service spaces tidy.
  • Load buspans and trays, operate dishwashers, and hand-wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and other items.
  • Store cleaned dishes in the proper area and replenish condiments and supplies at tables and counters.
  • Measure, portion, wrap, heat, and finish simple food items for service.
  • Serve guests at counters or buffet stations and take customer orders.
  • Keep records of food quantities used and manage stock levels for refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Use manual and powered equipment to clean, peel, slice, and trim food ingredients.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sanitizing work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle cleaning products safely, receive and store deliveries, remove garbage, sharpen knives, and clean floors.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as required.
