Role Overview
As a Barista and Food and Beverage Attendant, you are a key part of delivering memorable hospitality experiences. Beyond preparing coffee and serving guests, you act as a host and storyteller representing the hotel and dining venues. Your role involves crafting excellent beverages, facilitating smooth service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere to make guests feel valued.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty drinks with high quality.
- Support opening and closing operations, ensuring service areas, equipment, and supplies are ready and well-maintained.
- Deliver attentive and efficient food and beverage service across restaurant, bar, and café outlets, proactively suggesting menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of menus, drinks, and hotel offerings to engage with guests confidently.
- Maintain effective communication with kitchen staff and other teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and personalised service to create enjoyable dining experiences.
- Ensure all food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and cleanliness guidelines are consistently adhered to in guest and service areas.
Candidate Qualifications
- Strong enthusiasm and passion for hospitality and quality guest experiences.
- Barista certification or prior experience in crafting specialty coffee is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ease in engaging guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficient in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A positive attitude, adaptability, and capacity to remain calm in busy, fast-moving conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours on a rotating schedule, including weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts.
- Professional appearance and enthusiasm for promoting the hotel’s food and beverage offerings.
