About the Role and Location

Mantra on Jolimont is centrally located in Melbourne's vibrant sporting and entertainment district, close to landmarks such as the MCG, Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Park, and Hisense Arena. This building features eight levels with a variety of accommodations like studios and one or two-bedroom apartments. Guests can enjoy onsite dining at Boundary Line Bar & Kitchen alongside amenities like a heated pool and spa. Melbourne offers numerous entertainment options, including festivals, restaurants, bars, arts, and sports events for leisure time.

Role Purpose

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you will warmly welcome guests and guide them through our culinary selections. Your expertise will allow you to recommend outstanding dishes and beverages, enhancing their experience. You will contribute significantly to customer satisfaction and the success of events through your accuracy, dedication, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a hospitable and friendly environment to create memorable experiences for every guest.
  • Approach challenges proactively by turning difficulties into opportunities, reflecting strong problem-solving and positivity.
  • Enhance dining experiences by offering tailored food and drink recommendations at outlets and events.
  • Practice upselling in a way that enriches the guests' experience and encourages repeat patronage.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of products to better inform guests.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization when setting up and packing service areas.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated success in customer service within the hospitality industry.
  • A strong understanding of food and beverage service standards, including table service, beverage knowledge, event service, and barista skills (highly valued).
  • Flexibility to work in various food and beverage environments with availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Possession of a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or an equivalent qualification relevant to the location.
  • Enthusiasm for interacting with guests and collaborating within a diverse professional team.
