Job description
Job Purpose
This position supports senior investment professionals with analysis and execution tasks tied to the development and oversight of a global, multi-asset portfolio of endowment (Awqaf) assets spanning public and private markets. The analyst will work with deal and project teams and contribute to investment program development, diligence and underwriting for new opportunities, portfolio tracking, reporting, research, and other analytical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out investment and market research to inform the investment thesis and portfolio construction across listed equities, fixed income, and alternative assets.
- Assist senior team members in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities across asset classes and structures, including primary funds and co-investments.
- Build financial models, perform valuation work, and complete in-depth research for underwriting existing and potential investments, including IPOs, direct equity positions, and co-investments.
- Help maintain monitoring processes for current holdings, including performance updates and portfolio risk analysis across multiple asset classes.
- Prepare presentations, investment memoranda, and other reports for senior leadership and committee review in support of investment and portfolio monitoring activities.
- Identify ways to improve departmental systems, workflows, and operating practices, and contribute to broader organizational improvements.
- Handle other related ad hoc tasks as assigned by senior investment team members.
Qualifications & Experience
The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline, along with 0 to 4 years of relevant experience. CFA certification is preferred. Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required, as are solid financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
