Role overview
This contract opportunity is for a Financial Due Diligence Analyst working remotely in the United States. The engagement is paid at $35 to $70 per hour and is designed for a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours.
What you'll do
- Examine confidential information memorandums, financial statements, and agreements to uncover financial, operational, and compliance-related exposures.
- Review transaction activity such as mergers and acquisitions and fundraising work to help verify that financial records are complete, transparent, and accurate.
- Work through sensitive and private documentation with careful attention to personally identifiable information compliance requirements.
- Spot potential risks tied to confidential data and help ensure both company standards and regulatory obligations are met.
- Partner with teams across functions to explain complicated financial observations and compliance concerns clearly and effectively.
- Prepare written summaries of findings and convert analysis into practical guidance that supports decisions in major transactions.
Requirements
- Hands-on background in PII compliance, including the ability to recognize less obvious identifiers in financial and proprietary records.
- Direct experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, or transaction due diligence settings.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to distill complex material for different audiences.
- Strong capability in detecting and evaluating risk factors in confidential financial documentation.
- Solid understanding of compliance expectations for handling sensitive information and following regulatory best practices.
