Role overview
This remote hourly contract role is for a Medical Records Specialist who will help code, review, organize, and improve healthcare documentation. The position focuses on accurate record handling, compliance, and preparing medical documents in a way that supports AI training efforts.
Key responsibilities
- Examine medical records and assign the correct DRG and related classification codes.
- Check electronic health records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
- Organize, label, and annotate healthcare documents to support AI model training.
- Use medical document management tools to maintain and refresh records.
- Spot inconsistencies in documentation and help refine record-keeping workflows.
Required skills and experience
- Practical knowledge of DRG coding and EHR platforms.
