Role and Responsibilities
- As a member of the accounting team, you will be responsible for recording business transactions in the general ledger, including fixed assets, and performing reconciliations with sub-ledgers.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB standards, alongside periodic group reporting.
- Generate and monitor internal reports, statistics, and financial analyses.
- Participate in reviewing and documenting relevant J-SOX controls within the accounting department.
- Serve as a point of contact for accounting matters with internal departments, external auditors, tax consultants, authorities, and banks.
- Contribute to the enhancement of internal accounting processes and improvements in the ERP system.
Requirements
- Possess a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- Have practical experience in financial accounting and, if applicable, in auditing internal controls.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with Oracle Enterprise One is advantageous.
- Exhibit a self-driven, organized, and reliable approach to work.
- Show initiative and motivation to achieve success collaboratively within a team.
- Have an interest in automating and digitalizing financial processes.
- Fluency in German and good command of English, both spoken and written.
